About Me

A little context before the resume bullets.

I am Siam Hossain.

I'm an Operations Research and Financial Engineering student at Princeton interested in investment banking, M&A, and markets. From building AI-powered M&A tools at DexKo to negotiating a $200,000 term sheet for my startup, I like being close to the decisions that move a business.

I've worked across M&A at DexKo Global, private equity at Verde Vista, venture at Lasagna Capital, and early-stage investing through Embedding VC and Breakthrough Ventures. Along the way, I've built models, read data rooms, written investment memos, researched a lot of companies, and automated work that used to take far too long.

Why the space theme, you may ask? I love space and Star Wars, so why not? Finance can look painfully beige. I did not want my website to. I also play piano, take photos, and build hardware projects. I learn best by tinkering. Especially when computer vision, a camera, and a questionable amount of wiring are involved.

M&A Strategy and Operations Intern

DexKo Global · Novi, MI

Jun 2026 – Aug 2026

  • Prepared investment memos, CIMs, and company profiles across 4+ industrial targets, and reviewed six data rooms for live buy-side and sell-side work.
  • Built an internal M&A Hub that saved 40+ hours of recurring work, then analyzed 130,000 competitor listings and presented the findings to the CEO.

Embedding VC & Breakthrough Ventures

Oct 2025 – Present

  • Evaluated 20+ early-stage AI companies across product, market, team, and traction.
  • Wrote investment memos that informed more than $500,000 in committed capital.

Investment & Operations Intern

Jun 2025 – Aug 2025

  • Evaluated 30+ companies and built a scoring framework around growth, capital efficiency, and strategic fit.
  • Automated sourcing and data enrichment workflows, cutting manual research by roughly 60%.

Private Equity Intern

Mar 2025 – May 2025

  • Built operating models, LBOs, and investment memos for 30+ acquisition targets in a commercial greenscape roll-up.
  • Two of those targets advanced to letters of intent.

FoodBridge

Nov 2025 – Present

  • Built a B2B platform for surplus-food donations and grew the waitlist to 16 businesses.
  • Validated the process with a CPA and negotiated a $200,000 institutional term sheet.
